Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a space where women could discover unique fashion pieces that not only look good, but also make them feel confident and empowered.
Working from home during Covid like so many of us, I felt like I had nothing to wear when it was time to return to the office.
When I did go shopping, I felt discouraged by going into stores that weren't really curated for me and my size.
My body had changed during Covid, weight gain like everyone else, but since I had started perimenopause, where I was carrying my weight shifted too. I felt frustrated and unattractive.
I come from years of experience in retail and buying, and have always wanted to own my own store, so why not open a store that caters to women like me… Because I know I wasn't alone and how I was feeling.
Must Have Pockets is about style, function, and quality. I want women to feel empowered by their wardrobes, not like prisoners. I want women to feel beautiful at this stage of life and beyond. I want to offer women great options to take them from day to night to the office.
